GOSI 2026 Rate Changes
The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) has announced updated contribution rates effective 2026. These changes are part of Saudi Arabia's long-term social insurance reform plan.
New Contribution Rates for Saudi Nationals
For employees who joined the workforce after July 3, 2024:

Note: The annuity rate increases by 0.5% annually until reaching 11% by 2028.
Rates for Employees Who Joined Before July 2024
Employees who joined before the reform date continue at:
- Annuities: 9% employee + 9% employer
- Occupational Hazards: 0% employee + 2% employer
Non-Saudi Employees
Non-Saudi employees are only subject to:
- Occupational Hazards: 0% employee + 2% employer
- No annuity contributions required
What Employers Must Do
1. Update Your Payroll System Ensure your payroll software uses the correct rates based on each employee's join date.
2. Register New Employees Immediately All new Saudi employees must be registered with GOSI within 10 days of joining.
3. Submit Monthly Contributions on Time GOSI contributions must be paid by the 15th of each month for the previous month.
4. Keep Records Maintain GOSI certificates and contribution records for at least 10 years.
5. Report Salary Changes Any salary changes must be updated in GOSI within 30 days.
Penalties for Late Payment
- 1-10 days late: 1% monthly penalty
- 11-30 days late: 2% monthly penalty
- 31+ days late: 5% monthly penalty + potential legal action
